The following is a great compilation of resources for mindfulness. Please note, I did not generate this list. See the original article HERE. And while it was initially developed for a life-coaching community, after I reviewed each item, it definitely has benefit for those of us learning more about living mindfully.
Relaxation & Meditation
Calm
This website/app is amazingly serene, relaxing, and you guessed it, calm. Choose from a huge variety of nature settings or zen like backgrounds with soothing music. Backgrounds run on a continuous loop with both a video and sound. The app also has guided meditations. A great resource for calming background sounds while you’re working, writing, crafting, or just need a minute to recenter.
Insight Timer
A free app with guided meditations. Customize your experience by choosing sounds to start and end your practice such as gongs or interval bells. You can also choose from ambient sounds.
Real Warriors
Meditation and Stress reduction for military. A great resource with meditation tips and tools for combat, active duty, before deployment, etc.
Beginner’s Breathing Meditation
The Inner Health Studio is a website with meditation scripts and worksheets geared towards developing coping skills.
Free MBSR course
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction or MBSR is the scientifically backed practice of incorporating mindfulness and meditation into your daily life on a deeper level. Dave Potter is a certified MBSR instructor and leads you through both guided practices and an 8 week MBSR course geared to help you build awareness, handle thoughts, learn the difference between reacting and responding, and move toward a more compassionate mindset.
Headspace
Meditation made simple in just 10 minutes a day. Both online and in an app. Their blog is also very insightful and features articles like “Are you addicted to yes?” and conquering FOMO.
The Honest Guys
With a slightly different spin on meditation, this UK based duo provides guided meditations and YouTube videos to that are both relaxing and entertaining. From sleep talk downs to fantasy meditations, your sure to find something unique and helpful.
Stop, Breathe, and Think
An app to help you check in with yourself and how you’re feeling both mentally and physically. Start meditating in just 5 minutes a day and notice how you start to feel! Developed for people of all ages.

Minimalism is the key to getting sh*t done
While minimalism itself isn’t mindfulness necessarily, I believe there are a lot of parallels. Minimalism is the art of enjoying what you have, being in the moment with less, and finding beauty in simplicity. This article is not only helpful but inspiring but also introduced the concept of “decision fatigue” or taking on too much at once, causing our minds to lose focus. The more we can focus our intentions, the easier it can be to make choices and decisions that grant us liberty and certainty in our actions.

From helpful infographics to tips in mindful living, meditation, and living mindfully at work, this website boasts a varied selection of tools and helpful articles.
Tiny Buddha
This website hosts a collection of articles, quotes, and forums for cultivating a more mindful and inspiring life. “Simple wisdom for complex lives” is the tagline that heads the main page. One visit here and you may want to stay for a while.
Action for Happiness
Action for Happiness is a UK website that states “Action for Happiness is a movement of people committed to building a happier and more caring society. We want to see a fundamentally different way of life – where people care less about what they can get just for themselves and more about the happiness of others.” Their website provides resources for cultivating more happiness and has a page devoted to the 10 Keys to Happier Living which includes a happiness pledge and finding 3 good things in each day. This site has helped remind me of the power of the small things in life and how our perspective shapes most things we experience.
Mindful Teachers
A great resource for teachers, instructors, and leaders who are looking to integrate more mindfulness techniques, practices, and tools into their classrooms. Including self-care for teachers, quizzes and posters to use in the classroom, and mindfulness training resources.
Yoga Journal
A website and magazine that focuses on yoga poses, practices, and practical life tips to simplify your life and declutter your mind. Find a Yoga 101 section for beginners and endless tips for beginning or deepening your yoga practice.
Zen Habits
A simple blog dedicated to developing more zen in your life. Find ways to let go of attachments, decrease stress, invest in more simplicity, and set powerful deadlines.
